Head Start of Lancaster County has an urgent need for transportation funds, and we, as local business partners, can help.

Dear Lancaster County Business Partners,

Local news station WSOC-TV reported on October 23 that the Lancaster County Head Start program would no longer have the funding to provide bus service to more than 100 Lancaster County children, ages four and younger, beginning November 1. Head Start is a federally funded program that promotes school readiness for children from low-income families.

Sharonview Federal Credit Union would like to partner with other businesses in Lancaster County to help meet the needs of our local children. We pledge $25,000 to Head Start of Lancaster County and encourage you to join us in our efforts. We must act fast. We hope to raise the necessary $150,000 before November 1 so this valuable service can continue uninterrupted.
